The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Bakori, has praised philanthropist Hajia Hajara Abdullahi of Diso Quarters, Gwale Local Government Area, for renovating and furnishing the Gwale Police Division in Kano metropolis.
Bakori gave the commendation on Monday while presenting Abdullahi with a letter of appreciation in recognition of her contribution to improving the police facility.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna, Abdullahi has consistently supported police divisions across Kano State with material and moral assistance.
The commissioner described her as a “rare gem” and a true partner in community policing, noting that her commitment to the safety and wellbeing of residents was a model of civic responsibility.
Bakori said the renovation would contribute to crime prevention, improve officers’ morale and strengthen public confidence in the police. He also prayed for Allah to replenish Abdullahi’s wealth and reward her generously for her contribution to peace and security in Kano.
The Special Adviser on Community Policing, Hajiya Maimuna Umar Sheriff, also commended Abdullahi, describing her gesture as worthy of emulation.
Sheriff urged individuals, corporate organisations and community leaders to support security agencies, stressing that sustainable security could only be achieved through cooperation between government, security agencies and communities.
