Armoured Vehicles Help Curb Bandit Attacks in Sokoto – LG Chairman.

The Chairman of Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Alhaji Hashimu Dantudu, says bandit attacks in the area have reduced significantly since the deployment of armoured vehicles by the state government.

Dantudu made the statement on Sunday in Tsamaye Village during a visit by a state government delegation led by APC leader Aliyu Wamakko. The delegation visited the community to sympathise with residents following the death of the local government APC chairman, Alhaji Amadu Malale.

According to Dantudu, the armoured vehicles have increased the presence of security personnel and helped reduce attacks. He praised Governor Ahmed Aliyu for providing the vehicles and said the initiative was strengthening efforts to combat banditry.

He also promised that the local government would continue to support security agencies in the fight against banditry and other criminal activities.

Sokoto State recently procured 62 armoured vehicles and 2,000 motorcycles for security agencies to improve operations against bandits and other criminals.
