Three men suspected of supplying illegal drugs to terrorists and other criminal groups have been arrested during a joint operation by the Nigerian Army and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Katsina State.
The operation was carried out on Tuesday evening in Kagara village, Kafur Local Government Area, by troops from the Forward Operating Base in Malumfashi working alongside NDLEA operatives following credible intelligence.
The suspects, identified as Mohammed Lawan (34), Muhawiya Haruna (40), and Junadata Usman (40), were allegedly involved in distributing hard drugs and other intoxicating substances to terrorists and criminal elements operating in Kafur and nearby communities.
Security personnel recovered several suspected illicit substances during the raid, including cannabis sativa, tramadol capsules, pregabalin, diazepam, Extol-5 tablets, rubber solution, and a locally made intoxicant known as "Suck and Die" spirit.
The suspects and the recovered exhibits have been handed over to the NDLEA Area Command in Malumfashi for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Security authorities said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle drug supply networks that support terrorism, banditry, and other organized criminal activities across Katsina State.
