Pakistan Launches Massive Search for Missing Cargo Plane Over Arabian Sea.

A search operation is underway after a Boeing 737-400 cargo aircraft carrying five crew members disappeared over the Arabian Sea while en route from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, to Karachi, Pakistan.

The aircraft, operated by K2 Airways, reportedly lost contact with air traffic control shortly after the crew reported a navigation system fault. Flight tracking data showed the plane made sudden altitude changes before rapidly descending and disappearing from radar.

Pakistan's Navy, along with other maritime and aviation agencies, has deployed ships and aircraft to search the area where the plane was last detected, about 287 kilometres west of Karachi. Authorities have not yet found any wreckage or survivors.

K2 Airways said it is cooperating fully with investigators and remains hopeful for the safe recovery of its crew.

Officials have launched an investigation into the incident, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his condolences to the families of the missing crew members and assured them that rescue efforts are continuing.
