At least one person has been killed and several others injured after a series of Israeli drone strikes targeted southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese officials.
The deadliest attack struck a motorcycle on Al-Doha Road in the town of Kfarrumman, Nabatieh district, on Friday, killing one person. Another drone strike targeting a nearby vehicle seriously injured a man, who was taken to a hospital in Sidon for treatment.
Earlier, two people were wounded when an Israeli drone hit a van collecting rubbish between the towns of Shoukin and Kfar Dajjal.
Additional drone strikes were reported on the outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, including the Al-Hariq area near Kfar Tibnit, although no casualties were immediately reported there.
The Israeli military also carried out demolition operations in the border town of Khiam overnight, with multiple explosions heard across the area.
The latest attacks come despite a US-mediated framework agreement signed by Lebanon and Israel on June 26, which aims to reduce hostilities and facilitate the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon.
Lebanese authorities say Israeli forces remain stationed in parts of southern Lebanon, while cross-border tensions continue despite ongoing diplomatic efforts.
According to Lebanese officials, the conflict has killed more than 4,300 people, injured over 12,200 others, and displaced more than one million residents since the escalation of hostilities.
