Gov Bala Mohammed Sacks Two Commissioners in Cabinet Shake-Up

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has removed two commissioners from his cabinet as part of a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at improving governance and public service delivery.

The affected officials are the Commissioner for Commerce, Industries and Investment, Mohammed Salis Gamawa, and the Commissioner for Power, Science and Technology, Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by the Governor's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, who said the changes are part of the administration's ongoing efforts to strengthen the State Executive Council.

Governor Mohammed also accepted the resignation of former Commissioner for Rural Development and Special Duties, Faruk Mustapha, who recently emerged as the running mate to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar (SAN).

According to the statement, the governor has forwarded the names of new commissioner nominees, along with other replacements for previously vacant positions, to the Bauchi State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

Governor Mohammed thanked the outgoing commissioners for their dedication and contributions to the development of Bauchi State during their time in office. He wished them success in their future endeavours and reaffirmed his administration's commitment to building a more effective, responsive, and results-oriented government for the people of the state.
