Abducted Zamfara Woman, Two Children Regain Freedom After One Month in Captivity

A woman, Nana Batula, and her two children have regained their freedom after spending one month in captivity following their abduction by armed bandits in Zamfara State.

The victims were kidnapped on May 30, 2026, when gunmen stormed their family home in Tsafe Local Government Area. During the attack, the bandits reportedly killed Nana Batula's husband, Sagir Umar, before abducting her and the children.

A source close to the family confirmed their release and expressed gratitude for their safe return.

The source added that the woman and her children are currently receiving medical treatment and psychological support as they recover from their ordeal.
