The United Against Terror Movement held its third peaceful solidarity march in Abuja, calling for national unity and stronger collective action to address insecurity and corruption in Nigeria.
The protesters marched through parts of the Federal Capital Territory carrying banners and placards with messages urging government and citizens to work together to combat terrorism, kidnapping, banditry, and corruption.
According to a statement released on Sunday, participants stressed that insecurity has become a serious threat to Nigeria’s stability, economic development, and future.
The group’s co-convener, Okai Austin, said Nigerians must move beyond blame and embrace shared responsibility in tackling the country’s security challenges.
He noted that terrorism, kidnapping, banditry, and corruption have become major burdens requiring coordinated efforts from all levels of government and society.
The protesters also called on the Federal Government to treat insecurity as a national emergency and strengthen coordination among security agencies.
The movement reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful advocacy and said it would continue promoting security, accountability, and good governance across the country.
