Israeli Strikes Kill Four Palestinians in Gaza as Attacks on Displacement Camps Continue

Israeli military attacks have killed at least four Palestinians, including a 13-year-old girl, and injured several others in the Gaza Strip as strikes on displaced civilians and ground operations continue.

Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that an Israeli drone strike hit the al-Salatin area, west of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza, killing two people and injuring others.

In southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, Israeli forces reportedly targeted a tent sheltering displaced Palestinians. A missile strike on the tent left several people injured, with medical workers at Nasser Medical Complex confirming the death of one unidentified man.

Another victim, 13-year-old Eileen al-Farra, was killed by shrapnel from Israeli tank shelling in southern Gaza.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said it helped transfer 14 Palestinian detainees released by Israel from the Kerem Abu Salem crossing to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, where they were reunited with their families. The organisation said it has facilitated the transfer of more than 2,500 released detainees since 2023.

The ICRC also called on Israeli authorities to provide information about Palestinian detainees held in Israeli prisons and allow access for visits and family communication.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said the ongoing war has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and wounded over 173,000 since October 2023.

Meanwhile, tensions have continued in the occupied West Bank, where Israeli settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under police protection. Palestinian officials accused Israeli forces of restricting worshippers and preventing access.

In Hebron, Israeli authorities reportedly blocked the call to prayer at the Ibrahimi Mosque for the eighth consecutive day.

Israeli forces also carried out raids in several West Bank areas, arresting Palestinians and injuring at least one person during operations near Jerusalem.

Palestinian organisations have called for international pressure over what they describe as escalating attacks against medical workers, civil society groups, and detainees.
