Hackers have leaked more than 630GB of confidential data stolen from Tata Electronics, a major supplier linked to Apple’s manufacturing operations in India, revealing details about the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro.
The ransomware group World Leaks reportedly released hundreds of thousands of stolen files containing information about device components, suppliers, and manufacturing processes.
The leaked documents reportedly include details about iPhone 18 Pro parts such as chips, battery components, camera modules, and Apple’s supplier network. Experts say the breach could expose sensitive information about Apple’s highly protected supply chain.
Apple has acknowledged the incident and launched an investigation, while Tata Electronics said it is reviewing its cybersecurity systems and restricting internal access.
Cybersecurity analysts warned that the attack highlights the growing risks facing global manufacturing networks, where suppliers can become entry points for hackers.
The breach comes as Apple continues expanding production in India to reduce dependence on China. Tata Electronics has become a key partner in Apple’s India manufacturing strategy, increasing concerns over protecting confidential production data.
Although there is no evidence that Apple customers’ personal or payment information was stolen, the incident could damage trust between Apple and its suppliers.
