Ethiopian Airlines Expands Domestic Operations with New Aircraft

Ethiopian Airlines has strengthened its domestic flight operations with the acquisition of a new DHC-6 Twin Otter Classic 300-G aircraft from De Havilland Aircraft of Canada.

The new aircraft is expected to improve air connectivity to remote communities, support tourism, and enhance access to areas with limited transport infrastructure across Ethiopia.

According to Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mesfin Tasew, the aircraft will support various operations, including passenger services, charter flights, airport inspections, aerial surveys, and emergency medical transport.

The airline said the addition reflects its commitment to improving national development, expanding regional connectivity, and supporting economic growth through better air services.
