President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to participate in the high-level Africa Forward Summit, a major gathering focused on investment, economic transformation, and sustainable development across Africa.
The presidential aircraft touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport shortly after midnight. He was received by Kenya’s Foreign Affairs official Musalia Mudavadi, alongside senior government representatives and members of Nigeria’s diplomatic mission in Nairobi.
The summit is jointly hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron, bringing together African leaders, investors, and global partners to discuss key issues such as trade expansion, infrastructure development, digital innovation, and climate resilience.
According to presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the visit reflects Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening African cooperation and advancing shared development goals under President Tinubu’s economic agenda.
During the summit, Tinubu is expected to hold bilateral meetings aimed at deepening Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic ties with other African nations. He is accompanied by several ministers, including those overseeing foreign affairs, agriculture, environment, trade, and digital economy.
The engagement is part of Nigeria’s broader push to promote African-led solutions to development challenges and attract investment partnerships that support long-term regional growth.
