TECNO Mobile has officially launched its latest smartphone, the POVA Curve 2 5G, in the Philippines, positioning it as a high-performance mid-range device focused on battery life, connectivity, and gaming efficiency.
The new model highlights an unusually large 8,000mAh battery, designed to deliver up to three days of typical use on a single charge. It also supports fast charging, reaching 50% power in just over half an hour, alongside reverse charging that allows the device to power other gadgets.
Despite its battery size, the phone maintains a slim 7.42mm body and weighs about 195g, making it one of the thinnest curved-display 5G phones with such a large battery capacity.
TECNO says the device is built for heavy users, offering features like bypass charging to reduce heat during gaming, as well as improved battery health over long sessions of use.
On connectivity, the POVA Curve 2 5G uses a dual-chip system designed to improve signal strength and reduce latency, with support for multiple 5G bands to enhance coverage in both urban and low-signal areas.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor and features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming performance. It also includes AI-powered tools, an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and water and dust resistance.
For photography, the device comes with a 50MP main rear camera, a secondary macro lens, and a 13MP front camera for selfies.
The smartphone is available in multiple color options and is being rolled out through retail stores and online platforms, with pricing set at around ₱16,999 for the base configuration.
