Shettima Calls for Unity and Peace as Nigeria Observes Eid-el-Kabir

Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima has urged citizens to uphold peace, unity, and mutual understanding as the country approaches another political season.

Speaking after Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the Ramat Square Eid Ground in Maiduguri, Borno State, Shettima encouraged Nigerians to prioritize national stability over political differences.

He stressed the importance of maturity and tolerance in political interactions, calling on leaders and citizens alike to act in the national interest.

“Our message to Nigerians is to continue praying for peace and for mutual understanding amongst all Nigerians,” he said.

Shettima also appealed for continued support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, noting that the government remains committed to improving citizens’ welfare and strengthening national development.

He added that unity and peaceful coexistence are essential for sustaining Nigeria’s democratic progress and long-term stability.
