Pastor Jerry Eze Disburses $720,000 Grants to 240 Nigerian Entrepreneurs

Popular Nigerian cleric Jerry Eze has awarded a total of $720,000 in business grants to 240 entrepreneurs during a high-profile event held in Abuja.

The ceremony, which took place at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, saw each beneficiary receive $3,000 aimed at helping them launch or expand their businesses.

Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Olanipekun Olukoyede, revealed that he had previously ordered an investigation into Eze over suspected financial activities. However, he said no wrongdoing was found after a thorough review.

“I called him not to question him, but to commend him,” Olukoyede said, noting that the pastor’s financial records were found to be clean.

In his remarks, Eze expressed gratitude and shared that his passion for giving was inspired by his late mother, whose acts of kindness shaped his outlook on life.

Business leader Ibukun Awosika described the initiative as a powerful bridge between potential and achievement, urging beneficiaries to collaborate and learn from one another.

Also speaking, former Minister of Education Oby Ezekwesili encouraged recipients to focus on long-term growth and scalability in their ventures.

The event attracted prominent figures from government, business, and entertainment, including Benjamin Kalu, Oliver Alawuba, Olugbenga Agboola, and Obi Cubana, among others.

The grant programme is part of ongoing efforts by the Jerry Eze Foundation to support small businesses and promote entrepreneurship across Nigeria.
