The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released a compiled record of the highest scorers in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) from 2013 to 2026, showing a steady rise in peak performance over the years.
According to the data, top scores increased from 299 in 2013 and 2014 to a record 374 in 2025, marking the highest result since the introduction of the computer-based test system.
2026 Top Scorer:
Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin (Ekiti) scored 372/400, emerging as the highest scorer in the 2026 UTME. She has chosen the University of Lagos to study Medicine and Surgery.
Recent Highlights:
2025: Okeke Chinedu Christian (Anambra) set a record with 374/400, the highest ever UTME score recorded.
2024: Three candidates from Ondo, Oyo, and Edo tied with 367/400.
2023: Umeh Kamsiyochukwu Nkechinyere (Anambra) led with 360/400.
2022: Adebayo Eyimofe Oluwatofunmi (Ekiti) topped with 362/400.
2021: Monwuba Chibuzo Chibuikem led with 358/400.
