The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has approved 150 as the minimum score required for admission into Nigerian universities for the 2026 academic session.
The decision was made during the 2026 Policy Meeting on Admissions held on Monday in Abuja, which brought together the Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, and representatives of various tertiary institutions across the country.
The new benchmark will guide universities in the upcoming admission exercise for prospective students seeking entry into degree programmes.
Further details on admission guidelines are expected to be released later by JAMB.
