Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei has called on Muslim nations to strengthen regional cooperation and reduce dependence on the United States, saying a new political order is emerging across the Middle East.
In a message marking the Hajj season and the Day of Arafah, Khamenei said countries in the region share common interests and capabilities that could shape the future of the Muslim world and the wider international system.
He argued that American influence in West Asia is declining and claimed regional nations would no longer serve as a base for US military dominance. The Iranian leader also praised resistance movements across the region, describing them as a major force against foreign intervention and Israeli occupation.
Khamenei further claimed Israel was facing growing instability, while expressing support for Palestinian groups and regional allies aligned with Iran.
The message also highlighted the spiritual and political significance of Hajj, describing the pilgrimage as a symbol of unity, devotion and resistance against oppression. He urged Muslim pilgrims to promote solidarity among Islamic nations and support for Palestine during the annual gathering in Saudi Arabia.
His remarks come amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East following recent conflicts involving Iran, Israel and the United States.
