North Korea has criticised a United States human rights report, accusing Washington of using human rights issues for political purposes and as a tool against Pyongyang.
According to North Korea’s state news agency, KCNA, the country’s Foreign Ministry condemned the US 2026 Trafficking in Persons Report, describing it as an attempt to politicise and weaponise human rights.
The ministry also accused the United States of using the report as part of its hostile policy towards North Korea.
The criticism highlights continuing tensions between Washington and Pyongyang over human rights and other political issues.
