At least three Palestinians, including a child and the son of a senior Gaza Health Ministry official, have been killed in separate Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian medical sources.
One Palestinian was killed on Saturday after Israeli forces struck the Shujayea neighbourhood east of Gaza City, an ambulance and emergency services source told Al Jazeera.
In central Gaza, a girl died from injuries sustained earlier in the day after being shot by Israeli forces north of the Nuseirat refugee camp, according to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah. The hospital also reported that a woman was seriously injured by Israeli gunfire east of the Maghazi refugee camp.
Meanwhile, a young Palestinian was killed and several others were injured in an Israeli air attack west of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
Gaza's Ministry of Health later confirmed that Basir al-Bursh, the eldest son of its director general, Munir al-Bursh, was among those killed in the attack in the az-Zahra neighbourhood.
The ministry expressed condolences to Munir al-Bursh and his family over the death of his son.
Deaths Reported Since Ceasefire
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,381 Palestinians since a US-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was announced in October 2025.
The ministry says the overall Palestinian death toll in Gaza since the conflict began in October 2023 has reached at least 73,795, with 174,869 people wounded.
UNICEF reported last month that an average of one child has been killed every day in Gaza since the ceasefire.
The UN children's agency also said Palestinian families are now confined to roughly one-third of the Gaza Strip, where many are living among destroyed buildings, rubble and uncleared waste.
