Seven Days Left for 2027 Hajj Registration, NAHCON Warns Pilgrims

Seven Days Left for 2027 Hajj Registration, NAHCON Warns Pilgrims

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has reminded intending pilgrims that only seven days remain before the deadline for registration and the uploading of pilgrims’ data for the 2027 Hajj.

NAHCON issued the reminder on Saturday, urging intending pilgrims and relevant stakeholders to complete their registration and submit the required information before the September 26, 2026 deadline.

The commission also warned that failure to upload pilgrims’ data before the deadline could lead to the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots.

NAHCON said the deadline is part of the preparations and timelines required for the organisation of the pilgrimage, including Saudi Arabia’s digital processing of pilgrims’ information.

The commission further stated that full payment for allocated Hajj slots must be completed by December 2, 2026.

Intending pilgrims were advised to make payments only through officially approved channels, including state pilgrims’ welfare agencies, designated Hajj savings banks and licensed Hajj tour operators.

The development comes shortly after Saudi Arabia rejected Nigeria’s request for an increase in its 2027 Hajj allocation. Nigeria has therefore retained an approved quota of 50,000 pilgrims for the 2027 pilgrimage.
