Pezeshkian Accuses Israel and US of Dividing Muslim Countries

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has accused Israel and the United States of seeking to divide Muslim countries against one another in an effort to control the region’s wealth.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Pezeshkian said Israel and the US had carried out attacks against Iran using the airspace of other Muslim countries.

He also accused Iran’s “enemies” of attempting to create disputes among Iranian officials, but said the country was currently experiencing what he described as “unprecedented unity and cohesion.”

Pezeshkian’s comments come amid heightened regional tensions and continued disputes between Iran, Israel and the United States.
