NDLEA Arraigns KC Luxury, Two Others Over Alleged 184.5kg Cocaine Trafficking

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arraigned Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as KC Luxury, and two alleged accomplices before the Federal High Court in Lagos over an alleged 184.5-kilogramme cocaine trafficking case.

The defendants—Boniface Freeman Ochoche Sule and Ikechukwu Ekugo Patriarch—were arraigned before Justice Ayokunle Olayinka Faji on a 22-count charge bordering on cocaine trafficking, unlawful export of narcotic drugs and money laundering.

According to the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, the defendants allegedly conspired between July 28 and August 1, 2026, to export 184.5kg of cocaine concealed in five consignments through a courier logistics company in Lagos to London, United Kingdom.

They all pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The NDLEA alleged that the consignments were shipped under the name Yemi Ejide, using five Airway Bill numbers. Two other individuals, Atandare Oladipupo Oluwarotimi and Latifat Yusuf, who are allegedly connected to the case, have reportedly been arrested in London.

The agency further alleged that Boniface recruited Ikechukwu to facilitate the export, while Afolabi allegedly secured the assistance of a staff member of BOT Express Logistics on Lagos Island to process the consignments.

Afolabi was also accused of unlawfully possessing the cocaine before its intended export.

During proceedings, NDLEA prosecutor Abu Ibrahim opposed the defendants' bail applications and urged the court to remand them in custody pending trial, citing the seriousness of the alleged offences.

Justice Faji subsequently ordered that the three defendants be remanded in the NDLEA's custody.

The court adjourned the case until October 4, 2026, for a ruling on the defendants' bail applications.
