NDA Announces Successful Candidates for 78th Regular Combatant Course

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has released the list of successful and reserve candidates admitted into the 78th Regular Combatant Course (78RC).

The Armed Forces Selection Board exercise for the 78th Regular Course was conducted between July 4 and August 19, 2026. Successful candidates have now been offered admission into the Academy.

According to a statement signed by the NDA Registrar, Brigadier General O.A. Ogunleye, successful candidates are expected to report to the NDA Ribadu Campus (Old Site), Kaduna, on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

The Academy warned that candidates who fail to report by Monday, September 14, 2026, will forfeit their admission.

Only candidates on the successful list are required to report. They will be received at the Drill Shed at the NDA Old Site, Ribadu Cantonment.

Candidates on the reserve list may be invited later if vacancies arise. The Academy said such candidates would be contacted through their registered email addresses and telephone numbers.

Successful candidates are required to present the original copies of their credentials, including:

First School Leaving Certificate

Primary School Testimonial

WAEC/NECO results

Senior Secondary School Testimonial

Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age

Letter of State of Origin

Duly endorsed Parent/Guardian Consent Form

The NDA stressed that photocopies of these documents would not be accepted and warned that candidates who fail to present the required originals would not be admitted.

Candidates are also expected to report with specified clothing, footwear, sports equipment, bedding and other personal items. Female candidates have additional requirements, including black low-heel shoes, dark-coloured lounge skirts, short tights and trouser suits.

The Academy further directed all successful candidates to upload their O’Level results to the JAMB portal before reporting. Those who were not offered their preferred academic departments must also log into the JAMB portal to make the necessary changes.

In addition, candidates must accept their admission through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) before reporting to the Academy.

The NDA also announced that newly admitted candidates would not be permitted to receive visitors or leave the Academy during their first three months of training.

The Academy urged all successful candidates and their parents to comply strictly with the admission instructions.
