Iran Executes Man Accused of Sharing Missile Site Information With Israel

Iranian authorities have executed a man accused of providing information about Iranian missile sites to Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad.

The Iranian judiciary said on Saturday that Hossein Pedaran was executed after being convicted of espionage and intelligence cooperation with Israel. Authorities alleged that he supplied information about missile sites in Isfahan Province, central Iran.

According to the judiciary, Pedaran’s death sentence was upheld by Iran’s Supreme Court. Officials did not disclose when he was arrested or tried, and the case had not previously been reported publicly.

The execution comes amid heightened tensions following the ongoing Middle East war. Iranian authorities have increased arrests and executions involving people accused of spying for Israel.

In August, Iran also announced the executions of two men accused of transmitting the coordinates of sensitive military and security sites to Israel.

Isfahan Province, which hosts important Iranian nuclear facilities, has been among the areas affected by attacks during the conflict.
