Tecno has officially unveiled the Pova 8 Pro, a more advanced version of the recently launched Pova 8 5G. The new smartphone brings upgrades to its display, processor, camera system and overall performance.
The Pova 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with a 2,644 × 1,208 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and supports high touch-sampling rates, PWM dimming and wet and oily touch operation.
One of its standout features is Tecno’s Alive Matrix Display, which uses mini-LED technology to provide customizable visual effects for more than 49 scenarios, including incoming calls, messages, gaming and file transfers.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset alongside Tecno’s P1 Graphic Chip. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The smartphone packs a 6,500mAh battery, although this is smaller than the 8,000mAh battery found in the standard Pova 8. It supports 45W wired charging, 10W reverse wired charging and bypass charging. A 5,000mm² vapour-chamber cooling system is also included to help manage heat during demanding tasks.
For photography, the Pova 8 Pro has a dual rear-camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 13MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.
Other features include an under-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a One-Tap Button for shortcuts, and IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection ratings.
The phone runs Android 16 with HiOS 16 out of the box and includes AI-powered features such as Tecno’s Ella digital assistant. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC.
The Tecno Pova 8 Pro will be available in Arc White, Graphite Black and Tundra Green. Tecno is also offering a Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition, which mainly differs through its exclusive design and finish.
Tecno has confirmed that the Pova 8 Pro will launch in India on August 18, 2026, while its availability in other markets has yet to be confirmed.
