OyoSUBEB Denies Involvement in Alleged Common Entrance Exam Leakage.

The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OyoSUBEB) has denied allegations that it was involved in the alleged leakage of the recently concluded Common Entrance Examination.

The board, led by its Executive Chairman, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, described the allegation as false, misleading and capable of damaging the reputation of the board and its officials.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Ibadan, Oyo State, OyoSUBEB said it had no role whatsoever in the setting, production, handling or administration of the examination questions.

The board said, “OYOSUBEB is not involved at any stage in the conduct, setting, production or handling of questions for the Common Entrance Examination.”

It therefore rejected any attempt to link its chairman or officials to the alleged examination leakage.

According to the board, the administration of Dr. Adeniran has remained committed to transparency, accountability and professionalism in carrying out its responsibilities.

OyoSUBEB further clarified that complaints or inquiries concerning the conduct, administration or outcome of the Common Entrance Examination should be directed to the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, which it identified as the appropriate authority responsible for the examination.

The board also urged media organisations and broadcasters to verify information before making allegations against public institutions or their officials.

It warned that defamatory statements, false allegations or continued attempts to damage the reputation of its chairman would be met with legal action.

OyoSUBEB said it remained focused on strengthening basic education across Oyo State and promoting quality, transparency and accountability in the education sector.

The board urged members of the public to disregard the allegations and rely on verified information from the appropriate authorities.
