Prominent Islamic and Christian leaders in Kaduna State have commended Governor Uba Sani for keeping his campaign and governance promises, describing him as a leader who matches his words with action.
The commendation followed the governor's fulfillment of a pledge to provide houses for the families of two victims of separate tragic incidents in the state. The beneficiaries include Mrs. Sarah Achi, whose husband, Ven. Edwin Achi, died after being abducted, and Malam Usman Aliyu, whose wife, Islamic teacher Ummulkhairi Aliyu, was killed by a mob in Maraban Jos.
Speaking during the presentation of the house documents, Archbishop Timothy Yahaya of the Kaduna Province praised the governor for honoring his commitment, noting that it is uncommon for leaders to fulfill their promises. He prayed for lasting peace in Kaduna State and for continued success in the governor's administration.
Similarly, Sheikh Haliru Maraya, Northern Coordinator of the Global Peace Foundation, applauded Governor Sani for his compassion toward the victims' families. He said the governor had already fulfilled a ₦10 million donation to Ummulkhairi's family, promised to sponsor the education of her four children, and provided them with a three-bedroom bungalow.
Governor Sani reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting families affected by banditry and insecurity. He recalled that his government handed over 50 houses to families of banditry victims last year and pledged that no family affected by insecurity in Kaduna State would be abandoned.
The governor added that his administration would continue implementing policies aimed at assisting victims' families while promoting peace, unity, and security across the state.
