Israel-Gaza Strikes Kill 10 Palestinians as Hamas Accuses Israel of New War Crime

Israeli air strikes have killed at least 10 Palestinians in separate attacks on Gaza City and the Nuseirat refugee camp, according to medical sources.

Nine people were killed and 15 others wounded when an Israeli strike hit the municipal police headquarters in central Gaza City, Al-Shifa Hospital officials said. The victims included Gaza City’s newly appointed police chief, the head of a women’s police force and several police officers.

Another Palestinian was killed in an earlier strike on Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

Hamas condemned the attacks as a “new war crime” and rejected Israel’s claim that the strikes targeted Hamas commanders. The group said the justification was based on “baseless and false allegations” and accused Israel of deliberately targeting civilian police and unarmed civilians.

The Israeli military said it had targeted Hamas commanders in Nuseirat and the Tuffah area of Gaza City, but did not provide evidence supporting the claims.

The latest attacks came amid a diplomatic deadlock over a US-backed proposal to end the war. US Middle East envoy Jared Kushner recently met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to push for the plan, but the talks failed to produce an agreement over an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and Hamas disarmament.
