Fintiri Allocates 300 Hectares for Establishment of Nigerian Army’s 10 Division in Adamawa.

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has pledged between 100 and 300 hectares of land for the establishment of the newly approved Nigerian Army 10 Division in the state.

Fintiri made the commitment on Monday while receiving a delegation from the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Yola.

The governor said the establishment of the new division would strengthen security operations across Adamawa, Taraba and other parts of the North-East.

He assured the Nigerian Army of the state government’s full support and cooperation to facilitate the establishment of the new military formation.

Fintiri also directed relevant authorities to ensure that all necessary land documentation, including the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), is processed and completed within two weeks to prevent unnecessary delays in commencing the project.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies operating in Adamawa State and providing the necessary assistance to promote peace and security.

Speaking during the visit, Major General Bassy O. Ime said the Nigerian Army would assess suitable locations across Adamawa State for the establishment of the new formation.

The creation of the 10 Division is expected to enhance the Nigerian Army’s operational capacity and improve security coordination across the North-East.
