Adeleke’s Tinubu Endorsement Is in Osun’s Best Interest — Aide

The Special Adviser and Spokesperson to the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, Olawale Rasheed, has urged residents of the state not to feel betrayed by the governor’s endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election.

Rasheed, speaking on Arise TV on Tuesday, explained that Adeleke’s decision to support Tinubu was made before his recent electoral victory and was based on what he described as the need to attract federal development to Osun State.

According to him, the governor wants to support the president in order to accelerate federal projects, particularly road infrastructure, across the state.

Rasheed cited the ongoing work on the Ilesa–Ibadan Road, the award and commencement of work on the Osogbo–Ibadan Road, and the Gbongan–Osogbo Road as examples of federal projects benefiting the state.

He stressed that Adeleke’s endorsement should not be viewed as an opportunistic political move, insisting that the governor’s priority is the development and overall interest of the people of Osun.

“Governor Adeleke is only doing what he believes is right and in the best interest of the people of Osun,” Rasheed said.
