Intending Nigerian pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj are expected to pay between N7,560,822 and N7,882,822, depending on their departure zones.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) announced the approved fares in a public notice issued on Friday, stating that the Federal Government approved the fees after consultations with State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards and key service providers in Saudi Arabia.
Pilgrims departing from the Maiduguri/Yola Zone will pay N7,560,822, while those from the Northern Zone will pay N7,672,822. Pilgrims from the Southern Zone will pay the highest fare of N7,882,822.
NAHCON said the fares were determined based on prevailing exchange rates and service costs.
Pilgrims who have already deposited the initial N5 million will be required to pay the outstanding balance to complete their registration:
- Maiduguri/Yola Zone: N2,560,822
- Northern Zone: N2,672,822
- Southern Zone: N2,882,822
The commission directed new registrants to make payments through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies or Commissions, or through approved Hajj Savings Scheme participating banks.
Meanwhile, NAHCON has fixed September 26, 2026, as the final deadline for the complete upload of intending pilgrims’ biometric data on the designated Nusuk-Masar digital platform.
States are also required to complete the remittance of all 2027 Hajj fares by December 2, 2026.
NAHCON warned that there would be no extension of the deadlines, stressing that failure to meet them could result in the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots.
