Norway Approves $306 Million Air Defense Package for Ukraine

Norway has pledged 3 billion Norwegian crowns (about $306 million) to help strengthen Ukraine's air defense capabilities against ballistic missile attacks.

The Norwegian government announced on Tuesday that the funding will be used to procure additional Patriot air defense missiles in collaboration with Denmark, Germany, and Canada. The missiles will be sourced from a manufacturer in the United States.

The latest commitment is part of Norway's continued support for Ukraine as the country seeks to improve its defenses amid the ongoing conflict. Norwegian officials said the investment is aimed at enhancing Ukraine's ability to counter increasing missile threats.

By joining forces with its international partners, Norway reaffirmed its commitment to providing critical military assistance and strengthening Ukraine's defensive capabilities.
