Israeli Drone Strike Kills Four Civilians in Southern Lebanon

At least four people have been killed after an Israeli drone struck a civilian vehicle in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese state media.

The victims were identified as a school principal, her mother, a foreign domestic worker, and a Syrian national. They were reportedly travelling back after checking on their family home in the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa when the attack occurred.

The strike is the latest in a series of Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon, despite a ceasefire agreement brokered two weeks ago. Israel says its operations target Hezbollah positions and fighters, while both sides continue to accuse each other of violating the truce.

The conflict intensified after Hezbollah launched rockets into Israel on March 2, saying it was retaliating for the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.

Lebanese officials say Israeli attacks have killed more than 4,300 people since the escalation began. The United Nations also reports that over 640,000 displaced residents have returned to their homes following the June 21 ceasefire, although security concerns remain high.
