Telecommunications company Globacom and smartphone manufacturer Samsung have expanded their long-standing partnership with the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8 smartphones in Nigeria.
The new foldable devices were unveiled during a special masterclass held at Gloworld on Adeola Odeku Street in Victoria Island, Lagos. The event showcased Samsung's latest innovations while highlighting the companies' commitment to delivering premium technology and exclusive customer benefits.
As part of the event, Samsung presented Globacom with its Foldable Legacy Award, recognizing the telecom operator's role in promoting the success of Samsung's foldable smartphone lineup in Nigeria.
Customers who purchase either the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra or Galaxy Z Fold8 from any Gloworld outlet nationwide will receive 18GB of free Glo data, a Glo eSIM with a premium number, and an additional monthly bonus data package for six months. Buyers will also enjoy benefits valued at up to ₦1 million, including Samsung Care+ protection and flexible payment options.
Samsung Product Manager for EIP & MNOs Business, Solomon Osibeluwo, described the partnership with Globacom as one built on trust and a shared commitment to innovation. He said the Galaxy Z Fold8 series is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, offering faster performance, enhanced Galaxy AI features, and improved multitasking capabilities.
The new smartphones also feature a slimmer, lighter design, a brighter display with Vision Booster and anti-reflective technology, and advanced AI tools designed to improve communication, content creation, and productivity.
Gloworld Director Mohamed Rabie said the launch marks another milestone in the successful collaboration between Globacom and Samsung. He noted that the partnership continues to bring cutting-edge devices, exclusive offers, and improved customer experiences to the Nigerian market.
Rabie added that customers can pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8 at Gloworld outlets across Nigeria from July 22 to August 20, with exclusive Glo and Samsung rewards available during the pre-order period.
The event also featured live demonstrations of the new devices, giving business partners, technology enthusiasts, and media representatives a firsthand experience of Samsung's latest foldable technology and AI-powered productivity features.
