Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has stated that his administration has achieved about 90 percent of the promises made to people since assuming office three years ago.
He made the claim on Saturday during a Sallah homage visit by the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umaru, at the Government House in Kano.
According to a statement released by the Director-General of Media and Publicity, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor said his administration has made significant progress across key sectors including education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, water supply, youth empowerment, and economic development.
Yusuf explained that the government’s focus has been on delivering projects and policies aimed at improving living conditions and driving sustainable growth in the state.
“We have fulfilled about 90 percent of the promises we made to the people of Kano State within three years,” the governor said, adding that efforts would continue to complete remaining projects before the end of his tenure.
He also assured residents of the Rano Emirate that ongoing and planned projects—such as road expansion works, agricultural support schemes, and palace renovation—would be completed as scheduled.
Earlier, the Emir of Rano commended the administration for what he described as visible development achievements, particularly road construction projects and improvements in water supply and healthcare infrastructure.
The Emir also praised the upgrade initiatives involving key institutions in the emirate and pledged continued support for government efforts to promote peace and development across Kano State.
The visit ended with assurances of continued collaboration between traditional institutions and the state government to sustain development efforts.
