Surah Al Nas transliteration and meaning

Surah An-Nas teaches us to seek protection from Allah against hidden evils—especially harmful whispers that affect our hearts and thoughts. 

It reminds us that Allah alone is our Lord, King, and Protector from both human and unseen (jinn) influences.

Here is Surah An-Nas (سورة الناس) with transliteration and English meaning:

Surah An-Nas (Chapter 114)

1.

Arabic: قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ

Transliteration: Qul a‘ūdhu bi rabb-in-nās

Meaning: Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,

Arabic: مَلِكِ النَّاسِ

Transliteration: Malik-in-nās

Meaning: The King of mankind,

3.

Arabic: إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ

Transliteration: Ilāh-in-nās

Meaning: The God of mankind,

4.

Arabic: مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ

Transliteration: Min sharri l-waswās-il-khannās

Meaning: From the evil of the whisperer who withdraws,

5.

Arabic: الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ

Transliteration: Alladhī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūr-in-nās

Meaning: Who whispers in the hearts of mankind,

6.

Arabic: مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

Transliteration: Mina l-jinnati wan-nās

Meaning: From among jinn and mankind.
