This selection was compiled by Mawlana Ashraf Ali Thanawi under the title Munajaat-e-Maqbul.
Allah the powerful, the mighty said:
“Your Sustainer said: ‘Continue supplicating to Me
and I will continue accepting your supplications.’”
Rasulullah % said:
“Du‘a’ is the essence of [all acts of] worship."
KHUTBAH
(To be recited before each manzil)
I commence in the name of Allah Who is extremely
Beneficent, most Merciful
We praise You, O the One who is the best upon whom
hope could be placed, and the most honourable of
those who are beseeched. [We praise You] over the
fact that You taught us accepted supplications. [These
supplications] are a source of gaining proximity to
Allah •$* and receiving the duds of Rasulullah
Send, then, total mercy upon him for as long as the
western and southern winds blow and for as long as
branches grow forth from the roots (i.e. until the day
of resurrection).
We now ask You for that which we shall say [in the
forthcoming manzil]. It is our duty to ask [of You] and
it is Your task to accept [our supplications].
